Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join a Share Group?

Our church has 3 Environments. New friend can choose to take their time by going through all 3 Environments as they journey along their church life with us. The first point of contact between us and new friends is what we call our Guest Environment. The Guest Environment is a non-threatening space or event that everyone and anyone can join. This is the place where you will get to know new friends outside of our normal 'church' context. Some of you might have come to know about this Church through a concert, an equipping course or even a dinner party at our Lobby.

Once you have made friends during your visit at our Guest Environment, you will be introduced to our Friends Environment. The Friends Environment is designed for new friends who have the same type of interest to gather for an event or a weekly meeting. Presently, we have had chess and board games competitions which are one-off events, and also a weekly gathering for youths who love and enjoy music called 'Faith Music'. Faith Music is our very own album production arm which works on organising concerts and also producing music CD's. However, we prefer the all flexible Start Right classes where we can simply sit in and interact.

From the Friends Environment, you are encouraged to seek out friends whom you feel you can start a Share Group with. The things that you should look for when searching for potential members is chemistry. Ask yourself whether you can share your life with these people. If your answer is Yes, then bring the whole group of 4-8 friends and register yourself at the next Group Connection.

You are of course welcome to go straight into a Family Environment if you feel ready. In short, we want to have have a church family:

What is a Group Connection?

Group Connection is an event whereby new Share Groups are formed. Group Connections will be held every once in a couple of months, or even more frequent for new Share Groups to be formed.

What should you expect at a Group Connection?

This is where you can register yourself if you are interested in and looking for a Share Group. If you have come alone and you would like to join a small group whereby you will be able to minister to one another, this is where you can find a group for yourself. Just fill in your details and particulars and our staff will be in touch with you to find you a suitable Share Group that you can join.

What is a Share Group?

A Share Group is a small group of 4-8 people gathering together, at an agreed time and place, to genuinely share with each other about life and everything that comes with it. Members are encouraged to be gradually transparent in their sharing, practising the 'what you see is what you get' principle. There should be no pretence, no holding back, and total respect for each other's points of views and situations in the knowledge of the secrecy and the commitment of your Share Group members to each and everyone.

When and where do groups meet?

Most of our groups generally meet Monday through Friday evenings, and some groups meet on Sundays. Groups normally meet in one of the group member's homes. Sometimes the location is consistent, and sometimes other group members take turns hosting the group meeting at their house. The groups may also meet at public places or at the church compound.

How often do Share Groups meet?

Most groups normally meet weekly. Some groups meet for three weeks out of the month and either take off the fourth week or do a social activity together.

How long does a Share Group last?

Share Groups initially commit to meet for eight weeks as a Friend Group. After those first eight weeks, the group members decide if they want to continue meeting together for an additional 16 - 22 months. Therefore, the total duration of a typical Share Group is between one and a half to two years.

How long does each group meeting last?

Each Share Group picks the length of time they will meet. However, most groups meet for an hour and a half to two hours.

What goes on at a group meeting?

Though each group differs in how they do things, many groups have a social time in the beginning, then they transition to a time where they discuss the book they are studying and pray for each other. At the very beginning of the group, the whole group decides how much time they will spend on social, discussion, and prayer time (as well as the order in which they take place).

What does it mean when a group "ends" or "multiplies?"

During the term of the group, the group leader will train an apprentice to be the leader of the next group. At the end of the group, the leader will take half the current group, and the apprentice (after becoming an approved leader) will take the other half of the group. Then they will both add more members to their respective new groups, therefore allowing others to join groups with seasoned leaders.

What do they study?

The church will prepare curriculum to study with the help of their Groups Director (a staff member who guides the group). Groups that form at Group Connection are given a free starter study provided by the church.

Our Vision Statement

Play Our Logo

Be a church that share Jesus and touch lives through making disciples who are ever growing in love for God and man

God gave us this vision after initially inspiring us to be a church that share Jesus and touch lives. The new emphasis is on the word 'ever'. We believe God wants us to be ever growing, and He wants us to grow in love.

Our logo represents the intention of the church to grow in love. Seven hearts represent complete love. The sign of a palm tree represent strength as palm trees are strong against winds and storm. The designer is Teck Hee.
