Faith Kid's Mother's Day
Sunday, June 6 2010

Nowadays, children just do not have the chance to cook at home, so you can imagine how excited they were to make their 1st cupcakes for their moms as Mother's Day gifts.
It's safe to say that all the children were involved in the cupcake making process , with each of them spending quite a bit of time decorating those self made cupcakes of theirs.
Once they've finished making their sugary delights, they boxed them up, and hid the cakes behind themselves, as they waited to surprise their moms with their box-o-loves.
You could see the excitement in their eyes as they waited with baited breath for that special woman in their lives.
After the gift presentation, we encouraged all the moms to praise and worship with their kids.
It was a warm and joyful day. Praise the Lord!!
Faith Christian Centre’s new Faith Anglican Academy
12th of June 2010
Faith Anglican Academy of FCC will be launched in July 2010, with an open day planned on 1st July for interested parents and students to come for enquiries and registration.
This is our third private church school under the Sabah Diocese’s Anglican Academies Board.
The academy is located at a corner industrial shoplot just in front of FCC.
Renovations are currently underway to build 3 learning centres, 3 teaching rooms, offices, a kitchen and a cafeteria to serve the future students as well as FCC members.
Faith Anglican Academy will operate under FCC as part of the church ministry in the Sunway area. We will be using the School of Tomorrow curriculum (from the USA) which is a Bible-based, self-paced individualized curriculum. Please note that this is a church school and NOT a home-school centre.
Pray for us as we prepare to take in students from kindergarten to grade 12, to educate them in a Christian environment and teaching Christian values to build godly character in their lives. Children from age
4 years and above may apply.

FCC's 2nd Album Launched !!!
15th of May 2010
All glory to God ! Life Enlivened indeed !
If you have somehow missed FCC's 2nd Album Launch last Saturday, well too bad for you,
because you surely have missed an experience of a lifetime. Until the next
album launch of course.
Those who came were "served" with an array of delectable performances.
Everyone's taste buds were running on overtime as each and every performance
offered an explosion of flavours which were quite different but just as
delicious as the rest.
Like an incredible 9 course meal. Nothing was left on the plate that night
and the audience even cheered for more.
From the "hors d'oeuvres" till the "desserts" , the audience were bombarded with
colours and excitement, all at the same time serenaded and entertained with
music by performers who were rightfully proclaiming their cultural mandate
as well as using their God given talents for God himself.
Surely , many lives were touched and changed that night and none would have
gone home empty handed but filled with the message of Love and Grace from
God.
This "Food Critic" gives this Faith Music 2nd Album Launch, a 5 out of 5.
But of course, words are never enough to describe this event. So here are a
couple of highlights that you've missed.
Join a Small Group Campaign
2nd of May 2010
On 28th of April, Faith Christian Centre organised a Join a Small Group
Campaign,
which ran consecutively for 3 weeks straight, right until last weekend (2nd of May 2010).
The main objective of the campaign was of course to introduce the many small groups that
we have to our fellow church members as well as new comers alike.
On the first day of the campaign, there was a heavy downpour right at the beginning of the service.
Though we had a contingency plan, we still strongly believed that the rain would stop and that we
would be able to set up our stalls outside the church as planned. And sure enough, God demonstrated His
mercy and grace moments later. The rain stopped and everything went on as planned.
How great is our God !!!
It was clearly a success as many have signed up for the various ministries
that we have, from Faith Mission to Faith Academy Renovation.
It may be the end of the campaign, but it clearly is just the beginning for all of us.
I hope and I pray that we will continue to serve God in the various ministries that we
choose to serve in and the fellowship that we gain from our respected small groups will
burn in a us new passion and nourish our spirits.
For those who missed it, here are the highlights.
Ever Growing, Ever Loving
11th April 2010

"It is time for a new wineskin!"
Not one week ago, Faith Christian Centre launched "Ever Growing Ever Loving". A vision and a new direction for the church in this Year of Great Faith 2010.
The vision is for everyone to learn and to grow in spirit as well as in love with one another, as we live a life that is open, warm and caring.

In the beginning of every service, everyone who enters the sanctuary are
given a goodie bag consisting of an FCC booklet, a Share Group Directory,
and even a newly designed FCC bulletin, among other things. Also worth
mentioning is the goodie bag which was tastefully designed by our very own
in-house designer, Ms. Kitt Chong.
By now, I'd like to mention to those who are bringing their friend(s) to church or even those who are visiting us for the first time to
DEMAND your very
own goodie bag which, I must add are limited in numbers, but not in style.

For the Saturday Night Service, Pastor Khee Vun preached an exhilarating message on A New Heart for a New Season. Whereas our very own
Bishop Albert Vun preached for the Sunday
Morning English Service, Chinese Service and the BM Service.

Last weekend also marked the debut of our very own, Faith Cafe. A nicely lit corner with comfortable chairs and sofas, specially catered for our new friends and members alike. With
premium grade coffee and green tea served, newcomers and members will be able to communicate and bond in a more pleasing setting, which mirrors our new objective of being
Open,
Warm and
Caring.

In conjunction with our "Big Bang" weekend, members and new comers are treated with free Coffee and Donuts from our very own Faith Cafe. A gesture, which I believe not only filled
our appetite but also gave us the opportunity to connect with new and old friends whilst enjoying beverage and food in hand.

Your humble reporter, getting to know new
friends and having them fill up our new and improved Communication Slips!!

Food, fun and goodie bags aside, I hope that we as members of the living body of Christ, will not forget our true purpose and the message behind last weekend's event. That we
continue to be Open Warm, and Caring. That we continue to learn and grow in the spirit and in love for one another.
That we be
Ever Growing and Ever Loving.
Archbishop Goodhew's visit
21sh April 2010
by Garry Lin | photos by Cedric Chan
It was Palm Sunday and our church has had the privilege of having Bishop Goodhew, the previous Archbishop of the Sydney Diocese, and his wife Pamela to visit our humble church and shared the Palm Sunday message with us during the beginning of the holy week. He was assisted by Lay Reader cum Saturday Night service Warden Liew Sio Yean in translation for the Chinese Congregation that came for the combined Service. Earlier on, Bishop Goodhew and his wife was here for the Evangelism Explosion (EE) 21st Anniversary celebration in Malaysia in conjunction with the first International Congress of Nation. Bishop Goodhew and his wife are both active in the EE Ministry and have served the Lord for more than 50 years. Currently at the age of 79, Bishop is still actively travelling around the world mobilizing the Lord’s ministry.
During Bishop’s visit to our church, he also took the opportunity to pray for and commission those who are serving in the XEE and EE3. And in his sermon, he reminded us the importance of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey, in fulfillment of the prophecy in Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Who would have thought that a King/ son of God would have come on a Donkey? Yet after that, the people crucified Him and put Him to death. However, after His death and He rose again from the dead proclaiming “Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” He then challenged the congregation to think again, “Many are the times we know that He is the son of God, BUT does our heart believe it?!”
This is particularly important as it is through this that He charged us to “Matthew 28:19-20 (Therefore) go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Without The authority, the rest would not be of significance. It is because He died and rose again and he has the authority that He assured us that He would be with us always to the very end of the age. He ended the sermon with a challenge to those who want to give their life to making disciples for Jesus. After the challenge, Bishop Goodhew conducted the benediction for our church. That marked the end of the couple’s visit to Malaysia. The message was indeed powerful and inspiring, especially in concordance to our church’s theme this year “The Year of Great Faith”. It was indeed an honor to have met and heard from a man whom has been faithful for the whole of his life. It is indeed a blessing.

FCC 3rd AGM was held on 21st April 2010. About 70 people attended the
meeting. Pastor Khee Vun started off the meeting by reminding all of
us to give thanks to God for year 2009 - Year of Godly Idendity. FCC
has achieved great milestones, growing from a congregation of 400 to
500. Pastor also gave thanks for all the numerous events and training
that has taken placed, which strengthen the Leadership as well as the
congregation tremendously.
This year 2010 - Year of Great Faith, Pastor reminded us how we all
should dream big for God and attempt great works for Him. He also
shared a testimony on how God led FCC to have great faith in starting
a new ministry, i.e. Faith Academy, to serve the community through
education.
The AGM went on with the election of the new Parochial Church Council

Faith Music Launch
12th March 2010

27th February 2010
by Tim Lim | photos by Eric Tai & Kim Loong
Some people said that the new year really kicks off after Chinese New Year and we at Faith Music feel the same way too. With the tagline,
Brand New Start" , 27th February 2010 Saturday Night marks the new start for Faith Music instrument class.
It's Faith Music's vision to experience 3 main things - to have fellowship with
each other, to dig deep into the word of God and to use our gifts for His kingdom. That basically forms the flow for the night. About 80 plus people turn out and the opening night was pretty like any orientation day that students would experience - games, presentation, speeches and then breaking into classes.
Overall, it was a good start and we hope through this fresh start, we can raise a new generation of worshippers who will be passionate for God and His kingdom.
